Social Action
The Blue
Hills UU Fellowship has a long history of
involvement in social action in our community – as individuals and as a
congregation.
In addition to the individual members’ work on peace issues, we held a Peace Camp for youth and adults from 1988 to 1996 and 1998 to 1999. We learned peaceful conflict resolution skills to use in our families and communities.
Our congregation has served the Christmas dinner at Hands of Help in Rice Lake for many years. We also serve meals at the LunchBox. We have supported the ecumenical Habitat for Humanity project.
Individual members are active in every sort of environmental, human rights, and community support work such as school boards, county boards, and town boards.
